Calling Compliance
What the platform enforces, and what remains your responsibility.
Read the short version first: Neo Dialer gives you compliance tools. It does not make your calling programme compliant. Configuring these correctly for your jurisdiction, your consent posture and your call types is your responsibility, and no dialer can take that on for you.
With that said, here is what the platform does.
Do-not-call
Each tenant holds a DNC list, managed under DNC List in the Agent view. A number on it will not be dialled by any campaign in the tenant, regardless of which contact list it appears in.
You are responsible for keeping it populated — from your own opt-outs, from applicable national or state registries, and from any suppression list your client provides.
Calling windows
Campaign calling windows are enforced in the contact's timezone. A campaign running 9am–8pm will not reach a west coast number at 6am because your east coast day started early.
Set the window to the narrowest your programme requires. The default is not a legal recommendation.
Consent and recording
Recording is configured per tenant under Admin → Telephony → Recording. Whether you may record, and whether you must announce it, depends on every jurisdiction involved in the call — including two-party consent states. The platform will record what you tell it to record; obtaining consent belongs in your script.
AI disclosure
Where an AI voice agent handles the call, some jurisdictions require you to disclose that the caller is speaking to an artificial voice. Put that disclosure in the agent's prompt. See AI Voice Agents.
Abandoned calls
Predictive dialing works by dialling more lines than there are free agents. When more people answer than expected, calls are abandoned. Abandonment rates are regulated in many jurisdictions.
If you are not confident about the rules that apply to you, run power or progressive instead. Neither abandons calls.
Caller ID
You set the caller ID a campaign presents. Present a number you are authorised to use and that a person can call back. Deliberately misleading caller ID is prohibited by our terms and will end an account.
Automated checks
Compliance templates let you assert that required language appeared on a call and prohibited language did not, checked automatically against the transcript. See Quality & Coaching.
Political campaigns have a dedicated compliance dashboard reflecting the additional disclosure and record-keeping that political calling carries.
Audit trail
Administrative actions, authentication events and support access are written to an audit log under Admin → Security → Audit Log, and cannot be deleted by users.
What this page is not
This is a description of platform features. It is not legal advice, and it is not a compliance certification. Talk to your own counsel about your programme.
Something here wrong or missing? Tell us — these pages describe the platform as it actually behaves, so a mismatch is a bug we want to know about.
